Vision Therapy
Vision Therapy (Neuro-visual Rehabilitation) is an individualized treatment program prescribed to treat conditions such as Amblyopia (lazy eye), Strabismus (crossed eye), focusing problems, eye teaming disorders, eye-hand coordination, visual information processing deficiencies, learning-related visual problems, and vision problems after concussion or traumatic brain injury. It is appropriate for both children and adults.
Vision is closely linked to the learning process. Children who have trouble seeing or interpreting what they see will often have trouble with their school work. |
Many times, children will not complain of vision problems simply because they don't know what "normal" vision looks like. If your child performs poorly at school or exhibits a reading or learning disability, be sure to have their eyes examined to rule out an underlying visual cause. Your children may not require glasses but might benefit from eye exercises.
We're excited to announce that Dr. Yamam Almouradi has recently joined our Brea Optometry team to offer Vision Therapy and Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation to both children and adults! The vision therapy program is composed of a thorough evaluation process followed by weekly therapy visits and progress checks to improve various visual efficiency and visual information processing issues that could be impacting your child's school and sports performance as well as daily activities. Come in and fill out a simple questionnaire to see if you or your child could benefit from this service!
